The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan Episode 1 Dub Review

This is my review for Yuki-chan dub that premiered today. The disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan is a spinoff of the series “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” it follows the daily lives of Nagato Yuki and the club shes apart of. The Literary club. Its a very lighthearted show with lots of comedy mixed in. My main focus for this though is the Dub. The subtitled version has been out since April and had great reviews. I hoped the Dub would be meet the same standard and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Funimation brought back all the original voice actors and it feels like a breath of fresh air being able to hear these characters the same way all those years ago. The dub version is also very close to the subtitled version. Almost no difference whatsoever except maybe a few cheesy lines here and there. But its all in good fun!4MwFykI

As for the actual episode, it starts off as Yuki wanting to have a Christmas party in the Literary club room but its against school rules to have a party in the room. She decides that she wants a turkey and a Hotpot for the party so Ryoko Asakura(Another character in the series) and Kyon go around the market square to look for a turkey and end up running into Tsuruya and Mikuru asahina. Tsuruya says she has a turkey to give to Yuki but only if she can complete a series of tests that Tsuruya gives here. This is one of the more funnier scenes because Yuki being the clumsy person she is, fails all of them. And Ryoko and Tsuruya end up going head to head with each other instead. This was a very fun episode the dub is very good! It surpassed my expectations and I hope it will continue to do so in the coming episodes!8FsSzW4
