NEWS: Player Housing Coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic

Roleplayers and Star Wars fans alike will be overjoyed by the latest news from the development team at BioWare for Star Wars: The Old Republic, as a new trailer was released on March 8th, 2014 announcing player housing is finally in the works. Not much information is given in this trailer other than showing the impressive views of Coruscant and what looks to be a really nice high rise apartment, but if you’re a roleplayer and avid gamer of SWTOR like I am, this is something we’ve been waiting forever for. Will we get different choices of locations for our housing? Will there be customization options? Will it be class based like most content in the game?

These are all questions that are burning in my mind whenever I view this trailer, and hopefully BioWare will release some more information about this soon. Currently, patch 2.7 is on the Public Test Realm, so the player housing patch could be in the near future (2.8) or further on (3.0 or an ExPac). Personally, I’m hoping sooner rather than later. With the Cartel Market in full swing, many different options seem viable for this content such as purchasable customization options to help boost cash flow, or perhaps even different locations via expensive purchases. Only time will tell. May the Force be with you… always.
