Wait, wait, wait…How did one of the Founding Fathers became a target for the Assassins in Assassin’s Creed III?! Ubisoft has announced a DLC content for the upcoming, highly anticipated title Assassin’s Creed III. The DLC named the Tyranny of King George adds yet another twist in history in Ubisoft’s game posing the question of: what if George Washington, after the independence of the United States, took hold of the country as a tyrant?
Ubisoft has been known to radically change history with their Assassin’s Creed history, starting with Altair’s involvement with King Richard “The Lion-Hearted” during the first installment of the series to Ezio’s daring Assassination of the Borgias throughout the Victorian-Roman age. This is a first that Ubisoft will take on the ideal of creating a well known historical figure who was a Hero during the independence for America into a person corrupt with power and greed in a show of conspiracy.
The DLC is scheduled to launch after the release of Assassin’s Creed III in an Episodic series of 3. Also Ubisoft plans to release a number of DLCs along the way, even providing players a season pass of $30 to get every piece of content released. As another incentive, the people who buy the season pass will get the content a week in advance.
