Scarlet Johansson and Black Widow fans rejoice! Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed, in an interview, that the character of Black Widow played by Scarlet Johansson will return in Captain America: Civil War, AKA Cap 3. Fans across the globe have been requesting more and more of our favorite femme fatales, and while a Black Widow or Wonder Woman movie may not be in the works just yet, directors all over are hearing our pleas by including more screen time and appearances from our beloved female heroes.
Chris Evans is set to return as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. will appear as Iron Man as well. Another character set to make a comeback is the Winter Soldier. All in all, it looks like the Marvel comics are getting an awesome slate of characters and features in their respective films. Whether other Avengers will star in Cap 3 is still up in the air, though if it follows its story origins from the Civil War comics we should expect at least a few.
I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the new films (both Age of Ultron and Civil War), as both have awesome storylines in the comics-not to mention the Marvel films have been pretty impressive so far. Unfortunately, we’re going to be waiting a little while longer to see these flicks. Filming for Captain America: Civil War is set to start sometime in April, while the opening date is currently set for May 6, 2016.
